Helping Next Generation

One of the main reasons Fearless Warrior Foundation,Inc. was founded in 2018 was to honor of Bill Towey, Class of 1994, The Towey Family is creating a legacy of funding that will continue to provide a positive influence and promote ethics among the next generations. My brother, Bill has been a part of the daily life at Wantagh High School for many years, perhaps without students knowing it.  He helped design and paint the Wantagh Warrior mural on the side of main building, the one students pass each and every day.  Fearless Warrior Scholarship provides one-time financial scholarships for graduating Wantagh High School Seniors.  Recipients would be embodied the person that goes beyond the norm, with high regard to integrity, generosity and kindness. Award essays would illustrate instances of acts of goodwill and selfless moments with our community.

We are now including the private and parochial graduating seniors that reside in Wantagh School district for eligibility in applying for the Fearless Warrior Scholarship.

Fighting Colon Cancer - Fund Research & Resources

Education and Wellness for all!

Another important cause here at Fearless Warrior Foundation,Inc. is funding, education and promotion of screening for Colon Cancer;  an issue that touches many lives, particularly those in the greater Long Island area. See how you can help by reading more, donating funds for research and resources through Colon Cancer Alliance and Fight Colorectal Cancer.

Paying it Foward today and everyday!

At the young age of 40, Bill faced the brave battle against a difficult diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer and courageously fought for nearly two years. On June 5, 2018, we sadly said goodbye to this young husband and father who was generous and kind to everyone he encountered.  His life was one that was passionate about fishing and graphics; great love of his family and friends, and for a lifetime he always did the right thing.  Inspired by the mural, and my brother’s endurance these past few years, we created the Fearless Warrior Foundation, Inc. in his honor to give back to the community that supported him during his illness. We provide spontaneous days of giving within the community - like fun items like handing out lotto tickets to delivery of critical essentials for un-sheltered individuals as well as dispersing food and clothing from local drives.

Signs and Symptoms

Knowing the colorectal cancer symptoms and understanding your risks may prevent this cancer from happening to you, or help you catch it as early as possible.

Some early stages of colorectal cancer may not show any signs. (Which is why screening is so important). If you have any signs or symptoms of colorectal cancer, do not ignore them. You need to tell a doctor.

COLORECTAL CANCER SYMPTOMS

Colon cancer symptoms and rectal cancer symptoms overlap and can be grouped together. Common symptoms of both cancers include:

  • An ongoing change in bowel habits (diarrhea, constipation, or feeling that the bowel does not empty completely)

  • Stools that are narrower than usual

  • Blood (either bright red or very dark) in the stool (poop)

  • Rectal bleeding

  • Frequent gas pains, bloating, a feeling of fullness or abdominal cramps

  • Weight loss for no known reason

  • Feeling very tired (weakness and fatigue)
